Getting There and Getting Around

The Villa is located in the small fishing village of Great Bay on the South Coast of Jamaica.

The closest international airport to the Villa is Sangster International Airport (MBJ) in Montego Bay. The Villa is approximately 60 miles from the airport and will take about 2.5 hours by car.

Kingston – Norman Manley International Airport is a 3 1/2 hour drive through the center of the island and over the central Mandeville hills

Rent a car or have a personal driver take you there showing you the local lore and attractions along the way.

The drive is beautiful and takes you through the cockpit country.  It allows you to see the magical natural beauty of Jamaica which most visitors will never experience. Since we are located about 60 miles from the airport, it means very few tourists in the area and a very quiet beach, often having the full mile-long beach to yourself and not seeing any other tourists during your stay.
 
Note: Great Bay is not a great place to go if looking for nightlife or kitschy souvenirs.

By air it is about a 35-minute trip from MBJ on a private plane to the small local Lionel Densham airdrome, a 10-minute drive from the Villa.

A private plane or helicopter is not as expensive as one might imagine and the views are spectacular.
